![]() ![]() What it really comes down to is: "Who has the control over the platform"? In consoles, a manufacturer controls the entire environment, and the benefit is that they can identify and address problems on behalf of the player. The hardware and software of both are going to change constantly, especially now where the 2 main consoles are primarily off-the-shelf computer parts. The PC just provides a more robust experience and allows you to do more things (such as go on Reddit!).įundamentally, PCs and Consoles are NOT about hardware. It's also easy to transport a console to a friends house than lug a big desktop tower over.Īt this point, I don't really feel the need to get a console, other than keep the ones I have. Most console games are already on the PC at discount prices on platforms such as Steam.Ĭonsoles however make it easy to play local multiplayer with others in the same room. Online games are usually free to play, versus paying monthly to play on consoles. You can get really good specifications on the PC versus console all of the parts are upgradeable. After making that, I've essentially stopped playing on the console. Anyways, I decided to make a computer 2 years ago instead of using an outdated gaming laptop. I would play Call of Duty 4 online for many dozen hours. I remember getting into Xbox Live and thinking it was the coolest thing in the world. My story is that I used to be a big console player especially on the Xbox 360. The above being said, I like playing both consoles and PC games, but each have their own place for me.Īsking for an unbiased opinion is sort of like asking for an objective opinion the formation of an opinion requires a bias in preference. The 360 controller is pure gaming bliss for me when I am able to use it, as it just feels like an extension of my hands rather than a utensil my hands are using. Now I'm referring to games released on both console and PC at the same time, and not ports, as we all know ports to PC from console can be pretty bad at times, and so I'll read reviews on ports before buying them for PC.Īlso, I love (absolutely LOVE) playing games with a controller instead of a mouse+kb, so I am happier than a pig in shit that most games coming out nowadays have full controller support. I like console gaming for the exclusives, but if a game is available on both console and PC, I'll get the PC version every time, just because it is going to look better. I'm not saying that games that look bad graphically are bad games, just that they aren't for me. Yes, I'm a graphics whore, and so I can't stand playing games that look bad. How can an opinion be honest if it is unbiased? I'd have to lie to be unbiased, because everything I play leaves an impression on me that helps form my opinion.Īnyways, I like PC gaming more due to how much better graphically games look on it. ![]()
