![]() ![]() Sure, the diehard fans will follow him over to his own website or to BlazeTV, but the number of eyeballs on his material will dramatically decrease.įorce any YouTube star off the site, tell them to strike out on their own, and they will be financially devastated. ![]() If Crowder is kicked off YouTube, he will lose the major platform where he both finds and maintains almost all of his viewers. Then you click on what appears to be the best result. If you want to watch a video about something in 2019, what do you typically do? You open YouTube, bring up the search bar, and type in what you're looking for. While there are other video sites out there, and while you are free to host video on your own website, YouTube has become such a giant that nearly everyone goes there for their video content. YouTube is, unfortunately, a virtual monopoly. Mumbles seems to be saying that Crowder can simply "be offensive on his own website" (or, alternatively, the BlazeTV website), but that's not being realistic. I want to answer a few points raised here by both Mumbles and BCR, which I feel merit some discussion. It also helps that he and I share the same fascination with '80s pop culture, though his makes less sense because he was born in 1987. I do think that Crowder is probably difficult to work with, but he really does do the best conservative show. ![]() Owen did concede that Crowder is "incredibly talented" - something I also noticed. Owen also claimed that Crowder's "live" shows are not really live, and that this was a big secret people weren't supposed to know.Ĭrowder suffers from anxiety and depression issues, so I can imagine that all of this has to be driving him insane. Basically Owen confirmed that the 4 people who left in August (Sven, Jared, Aaron the Intern, and Edward the Sound Guy) were all fucked over in some way by Crowder, and that their very close departures were not a coincidence. Owen also revealed that "Not Gay Jared", the #2 in command at Crowder's show, didn't really leave to go take care of his soon-to-be-born child, but in reality left because of issues with Crowder. Among other things, Owen claimed that former show personality Sven Computer was owed tens of thousands by Crowder, who supposedly refused to pay him, resulting in Sven's firing from the show. Well, Owen finally tiled his face off yesterday during another livestream, and started revealing a bunch of shit, after first saying he wouldn't. In Crowder's defense, Owen is an unstable nut and I don't blame him for wanting to back away. Owen was more saying that Crowder hurt him, and told some lol anecdotes about his time with the show, but stopped short of revealing any juicy details. Owen then did a video trashing Glenn Beck, but held back about Crowder. Of course this didn't work, as Owen got enraged when the show started up again and he wasn't part of it, nor was he informed that he wouldn't be part of it. ![]() Conveniently, the show was on a 2-month hiatus when this all went down, so he tried to simply severely cut down his contact with Owen, and hoped they could just go on without him. He was seriously making these points.Ĭrowder then tried to quietly back away from Owen, who had risen to become head writer for the show. Then Owen flipped out in late 2018, ranting on his own livestreams about the Jews controlling the global economy and how we faked the moon landing. He worked with Crowder last year and had a bigger and bigger role on the show, and they became close personal friends. Owen Benjamin is an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist musician/comedian. Ironically, Crowder overexaggerated the threat to his YouTube channel for a long time, in order to sell CRTV/Blaze subscriptions, but now he's actually legitimately in the crosshairs and could possibly get his channel deleted. Second was this Maza thing, which is blowing up more and more, and might force YouTube to delete his channel. It's a clear parody and is protected by law, but somehow the music label keeps submitting complaints, even after Crowder was victorious in defending the first claim. First, he and his half Asian lawyer have been fighting out an odd copyright claim battle involving a KISS song parody they did called "Dr. ![]()
